Prom Season :)

I did Samantha's senior photos back in August last year, and truely enjoyed working with her and her mom. This is one of those relationships that I believe that if I did not have my photography business we would never would have gotten to know eachother as well as we do. Samantha and I hit it off so well that she asked me to be part of her prom day/ night. We spent the day out as the girls getting nails done and hair, and then I was out taking photo's of her before she went to dinner with friend. Chris and I had a lot of fun that night and really thankful for their relationships.

Fellow Photographer Amanda

I have noticed since I have started this hobby; it has made me rich in more ways than I have ever expected, and NO I am not talking about money. I am talking about the relationships/ friendships that I have built doing this. I can gain it both from the family that I do a session for or the fellow photographer that I am able to talk about photography and help eachother with tips and tricks. Amanda is one of those people that we have become closer because of the common ground of photography. We both thought that it would be fun to get together and take a few pictures of eachother for our blogs and for pictures of us(since we are behind the camera all the time we need something for our clients to know what we look like:) ). So here are a few of the ones that I took of her :) I will be working with her on a wedding this spring and super excited about it :)

Weekend in florida

I had a beautiful weekend at my dad's spending time in the sun and taking pictures of the beautiful landscape down there. I am so thankful for being close with my dad and getting to spend an entire weekend with him :)

Annabelle Lynn Hart! 3/7/11

Isn't this little peanut a cute little thing? I had a lot of fun shooting this! Babies have such natural beauty it makes my job even easier. I can already tell that little Annabelle is blessed with some great parents, and they truly adored her already. But who couldn't when she is this cute? Thanks Rach and Pat for letting my do a session with you :)

Spring Contest!!

I'm so excited about this! To celebrate the new season and being out of the cold weather, I wanted to do something to spring into Spring! So, here's how it works - it's your turn to be the photographer! I will be taking photo submissions now through April 1st at midnight. Your entry must be a photo of your family, regarless of age. I will then assemble the submissions into an album on my Facebook page on Saturday April 2nd, and the voting will begin! In order to vote, you must be a Fan/Like my Facebook page. Then you may "Like" the entry you wish to vote for. Comments are encouraged, but only the "Likes" will count as votes. Feel free to recruit voters for your entry any way you can - post it to your Facebook profile, email your friends, tweet away - get creative! Trust me, you will want to do anything you can to win this prize. The winner will receive a complimentary full session, and a C.D with the Top 20 photos- valued at $130! Make sure to read the complete rules below before entering:


Photo Submissions

1. Entries must be emailed to hohlerphotography@yahoo.com I will send you a reply email confirming your entry.
2. Only one photo per family may be submitted.
3. The photo may be of what you call your family.
4. Please include the family last name in your entry to be used in the caption.
5. By submitting an entry, you give Hohler Photography permission to post the photo of the Facebook page, and to use the photo in promoting the contest.
6. Your entry must have been taken by you or a family member - no professional or altered pictures will be accepted.
7. Submissions will be accepted from March 17, 2011 through April 1,2011 at midnight.

Voting

1. Voting will run from April 2 to April 15th
2. To vote for an entry, you must become a fan/like my page, and then "Like" the entry you would like to vote for. Comments are encouraged, but do NOT count as votes.
3. You may vote for as many entries as you like, but only once per entry.
4. The winner (entry with the most votes at the end of the voting period) will be announced on Saturday April 15th.

Prize
1. The grade prize package includes: a complimentary full session, and a complimentary C.D. with top 20 photos, and one 8x10(value of $150).

2. Session must be scheduled before June 30,2011.

Guestbooks

I have been starting a new thing with my couples now: I am taking the photo's that i took at their engagement session and putting them into a book for all of the guest to sign. I have put a few photo's below of what one of the most recent ones that I took looks like. They start at $35 per book. So far they have been a hit with my couples and hope that you enjoy them :)
